Team Ghost is the brainchild of the ex M83 Nicolas Fromageau and Christophe Guerin, both on guitar, synths and vocals. In 2010 the French composer Benoit de Villeneuve (who participated to 3 songs of the cult M83 ''Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghost'' album) joined the band, also on guitar, synths and vocals. The three guys, who build a unique sound described by Pitchfork as ''waves of synths, sunburst crescendos, harsh shoegaze drones,tickly electronic effects'', are backed by a powerful rythm section with Pierre Blanc on bass and Felix Delacroix on drums.
The band released two eps on the UK indie label ''Sonic Cathedral'', and toured in Europe with Crystal Castles and Liars. Pitchfork acclaimed ''You did anything wrong to me ep'' and the NME qualified Team Ghost mix of shoegaze and post-punk as ''cold gaze''.
The band's debut album ''Rituals'' will be released in February 2013. It includes some indie pop jewels such as the first single ''Dead Film Star'' to be released in the fall. A first surprise is planned for september 26th...

En 2010 le compositeur Benoit de Villeneuve(qui participa à l'ecriture de 3 morceaux du mythique album de M83 ''Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghost'') rejoint le groupe, également en temps que guitariste/chanteur et synthé. Ce trio distillant un son décrit par Pitchfork comme '' un mélange de guitares saturées, sur nappes de synthés et séquences électros, menant crescendo vers des explosions sonores'', s'appuie sur une puissante section rythmique avec Pierre Blanc à la basse et Felix Delacroix à la batterie. Le groupe a sorti 2 eps sur le label indé Anglais ''Sonic Cathedral'' et a tourné en Europe avec Crystal Castles et Liars. Leur ep ''You did anything wrong to me'', a été acclamé par Pitchfork (US) et le NME (UK) a inventé un terme pour qualifier la musique du groupe: le ''cold gaze'' à savoir un mélange de ''shoegaze'' (scène musicale Anglaise de la fin des années 80 dont My Bloody Valentine est le symbole) et de ''cold wave'' (scène musicale du début des années 80 influencée par Joy Division). Le premier opus du groupe ''Rituals'' sortira en février 2013. Il rassemble des petits bijoux indie pop, dont le premier single ''Dead Film Star'' qui sortira à l'automne.
